Tres Carnes offers authentic Hispanic food in a simplistic style. Tres Carnes motto is Texas Smoked Mexican Fare. It’s a small simple decorated restaurant with polished wooden tables and benches with an awesome graffiti style mural. Mid-day the line is outside the door around the corner with hungry people with a New York minute to spare. It is apparent that the popularity of this small restaurant is growing. It is in no comparison to Chipotle it’s even better! Meaty smoked brisket in an adobo and lime dry rub embedded in a warm soft corn taco with fresh salsa, roasted corn, sour cream, Mexican yellow rice, and black beans. Enjoy that authentic Mexican goodness with a glass of their spiked Mexican Limeade. It’s a special beer on the rocks with their house made limeade. Tres Carnes won’t disappoint your taste buds. If you have room enjoy one of their Dulce de Leche doughnuts. It will probably take a few days to burn off this devilish rich sweet treat. For a lighter fix-in, Tres Carnes offers salads and Tres bowls. This restaurant truly captures the essence of Hispanic food. The staff is wonderful. They took the time out to explain each side dressing/condiment. Let us all keep our fingers crossed that a few more locations will be coming in 2014.
